Where I live: West Yorkshire, UK

What I do: I run The Green Providers Directory, commenting and writing on a range of environmental and political issues in tandem with my academic work and spending time with my wife, two children and our dog Bracken.

What I’ll be talking about on GGG: General commentaries on a range of topical environmental and political issues, including ways in which capitalism and environmentalism can be reconciled within a workable framework. I want to stimulate debate by looking at things in a different way and challenging the views of climate sceptics.

What inspires me: Courageous, charismatic people who aren’t afraid to speak their mind and who do what they believe to be right regardless of outside pressure.

What I want for the future: A new paradigm where economies are built on sustainability and fairness, not short-termism and greed. I want to see an end to the destruction of our rainforests, conflict, global warming and uncontrolled population growth. I believe that these are ambitious but achievable goals, and I remain content in the knowledge that I am making my own small contribution to protecting our planet and its inhabitants.
