Hey Asi,

Its a great campaign and I am fully supporting it.

Aviation has to be tackled, some people think that off setting aviation is enough but I disagree. Reduction of personal and business flights is needed and of course we need to use local food rather than have it shipped or flown (?) in from another country. I know that this could affect some countries economy due to lack of exports of their products to other countries - however the planet should come before profit.

In addition to food I have also noticed a huge increase of cheap products on ebay (I look for 2nd hand items only on there and from the UK) that are from Hong Kong and China. Obviously these products need to be transported from there to the UK (or wherever the buyer is) and the true cost of a cheap product from these countries is higher carbon emmissions and a polluted planet.

I think that people need to be made aware of the true cost of having items that they buy whether food or electronic devices shipped or flown from other countries.

BUY LOCAL! Its the best way to reduce carbon - buy products that have been grown or made in your own country and boycott shops / products that dont do this. Consumer power can work.

Great first GGG post Asi - look forward to reading more
