Never leave your personal data on the hard drive. Don't go donating old computers to charities though. Kit that is over 10 years old won't be welcome. Countries that operate the WEEE directive will probably charge for disposal of hazardous waste and you could be costing charities money if you give them old CRT monitors. Richard A.
